security

SecurtiyWe want to make sure that any information we receive from you is held as securely as we can make it. We have security measures in place on our website to ensure that any personal data which you input when registering and ordering goods is protected so far as possible against loss, misuse or alteration.

SSL support
To ensure the highest standards of security, the ordering system used by London Theatre Bookings encrypts information using the industry standard Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL). When you shop with London Theatre Booking or communicate your personal details to our payment system which then talks to our merchant provider, SSL allows all personal information, such as your credit card number, to be encrypted as it travels from one designated place to the next. At no time is your credit card number stored on our website or in our online database.

Secure payment transactions
* When you register with us a user personal profile is generated which allows you to visit our site and carry out additional transactions without having to input your personal data all the time. Your personal profile does not store your credit card details or details about other payment methods which you may use. You will have to supply credit card information each time an order is placed. These details are authorised or declined in real time and no card details are stored in our system for reference.

What security checks do we carry out?
* We use AVS anti-fraud checks to confirm that the billing address which you give us matches the details held by the card issuer for your credit card. In addition we may use your telephone details to run credit checks and to contact you if there is a problem with your order. Special information for visitors with older web browsers

* Only certain web browsers support SSL and most browsers will alert you when you have established a secure connection. If you are using an older web browser such as Netscape Navigator 3.x or Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.x, you may be unable to access the secure (SSL) area of our site. This is because your browser's security certificate may have expired. SSL works by matching your browser's security certificate to one on our server. If these do not match, a secure connection cannot be made. The SSL certificates for these browsers expired in July 1998.

Our liability to you
Please note that due to the inherent risks of the Internet we cannot guarantee to protect your personal information at all times and we cannot be responsible for any harm that may be suffered due to a breach of security when the website is used or you attempt to order goods through the website. We can only be responsible for your information when it is received on our computer not whilst it is in any open or public environment.
